WELCOME

The holiday season is upon us!

What a wonderful time it is of the year. Thanksgiving is almost upon us as we head towards the end of the year. This time of the year brings out the best in all of us, as we gather close to our friends and families to celebrate a season of giving and sharing.

We hope you enjoy this second newsletter of ours. We look forward to seeing you soon at our store.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Dennis & David

NEW ITEMS

We are now serving HOT CHOCOLATE with our own special blend using the same fine Scharffen Berger 70% dark chocolate we use in our truffles. Our critics have agreed so far: our hot chocolate is a hit! Drop on in to enjoy a cup for yourselves. With cinnamon and maple as additional flavors, you now have even more variety in addition to our original flavor.

Our truffle selection keeps on growing. Drop on by our store to try these new creations:

LATEST NEWS

Thank you for helping us support a great cause by purchasing our Equality Chocolates. With the purchase of each Equality Chocolate, we had not only donated to the Approve Referendum 71 campaign but helped educate fair-minded Washingtonians about this referendum. As of this writing, the referendum has been approved by the people of Washington State and the bill passed by the legislature will now grant same-sex and senior domestic partners the same and complete set of rights afforded to married spouses. Our little contribution to this campaign was even generously mentioned in this Seattle PI article.

THANKSGIVING

We're introducing these seasonal truffles to wet your appetite and celebrate Thanksgiving for the whole month.

OKTOBERFEST IN NOVEMBER

Oktoberfest has come and gone for this year but we are still relishing in its festivities. To continue the merry German festivities, we are introducing some German treats that will fulfill your curiosity.

Marzipan kartoffeln -- marzipan balls shaped like potatoes
Marzipan trio -- cherries, ginger and apricots, individually rolled inside marzipan and dipped in dark chocolate

And to start the Christmas season off early, we've started to sell these traditional German treats:

Chocolate advent calendar. These children's calendars help celebrate the 24 days of Advent leading up to Christmas. Tradition tells the children to open a window on the calendar for each day, revealing a little treat inside.

CHOCOLATE-MAKING CLASSES

Don't forget our chocolate making classes for both kids and adults. These classes have been a hit for those who have previously attended. Our last one was a birthday party with twelve 5-year-olds who all had a blast. Classes are $25 per child and $45 per adult. We also offer class gift certificates which can be given to your favorite chocolate-making loved one.
